Buddha Bowl Table
~Mindful Eating~
Eating meditation, the ultimate way to be satisfied with small meals!
The Buddha Bowl is a bowl of food that Buddha received during his training. Even a small amount teaches us to "know what is enough." It teaches us to be grateful for what we have and live with a fulfilled heart.
In this workshop, we practice mindful eating meditation. We will face the challenges of modern society's eating habits, enjoy meals using all five senses, and become aware of the connection between food and the mind and body. This is the ultimate way to eat to satisfy both the mind and body.
We look forward to serving you a meal of contentment.

We are what we eat . What we eat and how we eat are very important. Even if we understand this in our heads, there must be many people who feel that their ideal way of eating is far from it. In this workshop, through eating meditation, we practice noticing what is truly important to your mind and body. We hope that this will be an opportunity to know what is truly important to you, without being influenced by the overwhelming amount of information. It is a very casual practice, so it is recommended even for those who have never tried mindfulness before. Please feel free to join us as if it were a dinner party.

Around the Table:
Conversations on Modern Food Issues
1. Overeating, eating quickly, and eating while doing other things: Many people are distracted by work or their smartphones and finish their meals without taking the time to enjoy them. This makes it harder to feel full, which can lead to overeating. It is also known that stress has a big impact on eating. You may have experienced the increase in snacking in proportion to your irritability.
2. Unbalanced nutrition: There is a strong tendency to rely on processed foods and eating out, which leads to problems such as a lack of vegetables, a lack of dietary fiber, and excessive intake of carbohydrates and lipids.
3. Increased food waste: Large amounts of food that is still edible is being discarded, which is also leading to environmental problems.
4. Poverty: While there is food waste, there are also children who cannot eat enough due to poverty. Is there anything we can do?
Participants' comments
"I was surprised how such a small amount could fill me up."
"The rice tastes so sweet, you don't even need any side dishes."
"I feel full even after I finish. I usually have something sweet after a meal, but I don't need that today."
Before the meal started, everyone was worried and asked if they could have more if they didn't have enough, but they were all very satisfied with just a small amount! They were very surprised.
We also receive reports that people slept better than usual at night.
This is an important experience for you to face yourself, so please come and join us!!
