Mount Takao is a power spot that has been said to be home to gods since ancient times. Why not escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience a day of ascetic training surrounded by nature ?

In the sacred silence , you can take a break from talking and indulge in a dialogue with yourself, feeling renewed and refreshed. A luxurious time to free your mind and body awaits you.

A wide variety of programs will help you reset your mind and body and discover new things. Even those without experience can participate with confidence.

Become aware of yourself and deepen your introspection

Learn and practice the fundamentals of mindfulness

Mindfulness is a meditation method from Buddha that was developed into a program at an American medical school, and by removing any religious overtones, it has been designed to be accessible to anyone.

Through various meditation practices, you will become aware of the sensations of your body and mind, listen to your true self, and practice accepting yourself as you are by becoming aware of the stories you unconsciously tell yourself and the automatic thought patterns you have.

As a result, your mind will become calm and you will begin to feel a sense of peace and warmth towards yourself.

At the Takao-san Yakuo-in Temple Vegetarian Cuisine Lunch Session, you can enjoy vegetarian cuisine that is imbued with the wisdom of mountain monks and the blessings of nature while meditating on the food. Making use of the natural flavors of the ingredients, we will serve a dish that has undergone countless activities, with respect and gratitude for life, and with the spirit of "Itadakimasu," we will deliver a blissful time that will harmonize your mind and body.

In the morning, you built a relationship with yourself through self-talk. From here, you will deepen your bond and realize your own importance. This realization will naturally spread to others, and the whole community will experience mindfulness.

Once the silence is over, we will share the experiences of the day as we make our way down the mountain, and then, if you wish, we will have a chance to chat over tea in a lovely café at the base.
